White Peony (Bai Mudan) | 白牡丹茶
Most recognizable by their plump saplings that are covered in silvery fur, our White Peony (白牡丹, Bai Mudan), is a delicate white tea that hails from the Fujian Province. It is known for its unique bright orange hue, its strong chestnut-like aroma of young saplings, and its fresh, clean and subtly sweet taste.
Brewing Guide:
Measure 1 tablespoon of tea to a medium-sized gaiwan or clay pot. Bring the water to a boil and allow it cool for 15 minutes (87-93℃). Pour enough water to submerge tea leaves and immediately pour out this first brew.
Refill gaiwan or clay pot to the top and steep for 10-15 seconds or until desired concentration before serving the tea. Rebrew as needed.
