Sticky Rice Scented Mini Pu-erh Tea
The sticky rice scented pu-erh fermented tea has the classic earthy taste that we love in fermented pu-erh, infused with the comforting, rich scent of a freshly cooked pot of rice. This scent is imparted into the pu-erh tea by adding a wild-grown plant that is native to the southern region of Yunnan, called “糯米香” (literally “sticky rice fragrance”, into the pu-erh’s fermenting and aging process. This tea is a beloved drink among the Dai people, a minority group that is indigenous to southern Yunnan. Each piece of tea is conveniently portioned for brewing a pot to be shared among 2 people, or for 1 mug and generous refill.
Makes 1 liter, brewed tea should be dark in color and nearly opaque, but shows a dark red glimmer well held to the light
