Incense Holder Ash (香爐灰)

Incense Holder Ash is a hygienic and sustainable solution to getting incense and candle sticks to stay standing upright in your incense holder. Traditionally, this ash is changed out as needed depending on each family's preference, but definitely at least once a year as a part of Lunar New Year preparations.

Pour into the incense holder and pack in the ash with the back of a spoon or another flat ended object. Repeat until incense holder is 3/4 full will compact ash. 

Pro-tip: Any ash that is created from burning incense during the year can be smoothed out and compacted to become a part of the incense holder ash.
