GTI Rose Black Tea | 玫瑰紅茶
When our father set out to craft a rose black tea, he didn't like that many of the existing ones on the market were simply sweet-tasting, with no other flavor dimensions.
So he sourced his black tea and roses on his own. He found unopened young rose buds to ensure that they are packed with flavor, and a black tea that is robust enough to stand up to the sweetness of the roses, and combined the two together so that our resulting proprietary blend is able to strike a delicate balance between the heady scent of roses, and a darker roast black tea. That way, tea drinkers can enjoy the hint of sweetness that comes with a floral tea, but also a musky depth that is tinged with smokiness.
Measure 1 teaspoon of tea to a medium-sized gaiwan or mug. Bring the water to a boil and allow it cool for 5 minutes (95-100℃). Pour enough water to submerge tea leaves and immediately pour out this first brew.
Refill gaiwan or mug to the top and steep for 15-20 seconds or until desired concentration before serving the tea. Rebrew as needed.
