For generations, Chrysanthemum Pu-erh has been the go-to tea for dim sum. That is because pu-erh is widely known to help "cut the fat" and prevent the feeling of sluggishness when we eat many oily, heavy foods. This crowd-pleasing blend has the effects of pu-erh, while brightening up its flavor with the herbaceous floral taste of chrysanthemum.
Our Chrysanthemum Pu-erh has a nectar-like sweetness that comes from the fully-matured white chrysanthemum flowers, complemented by the the earthy taste of the ripe pu-erh tea, to make a mild tasting, yet incredibly fragrant brew that is suitable for all palates. So whether it's recreating the flavors of dim sum at home or providing guests a mild and delicious digestif, our Chrysanthemum Pu-erh is an excellent accompaniment for the next food gathering.
Measure 1 heaping teaspoon of tea to a medium-sized clay teapot or mug. Bring the water to a boil and allow it cool for 5 minutes (95-100℃). Pour enough water to submerge tea leaves and immediately pour out this first brew.
Refill clay teapot or mug to the top and steep for 15-20 seconds or until desired concentration before serving the tea. Rebrew as needed.
