Year of the Ox- DIY Craft Felt Lanterns with LED Color-Changing Lights
These traditional paper-cutting style ox lanterns adorned with a metallic chain, lucky knot and a LED color-changing light are an adorable, age-appropriate craft project to celebrate the Lantern Festival (元宵節, Yuanxiao Jie) with kids and families.
They are a superb craft project to get children interested in Chinese traditional holidays and arts on a family night, and a fun activity for craft lovers to do on a rainy day. Each lantern only takes ~15 mins to assemble, and then the lanterns can be flicked on and hung up as festive decor. Each side of the lantern is a unique design--boy ox carrying a money pouch with 招財進寶 (Wishes for riches and treasures to arrive) on one side, and a girl ox carrying a money pouch with 福 (fortune) on the other side.
Each packet comes with all materials and parts needed to complete the lantern, including picture instructions with Chinese. 2 AA batteries needed for LED light. Batteries sold separately. Suitable for children ages 3+.
